Kimberlee Maslin-Kammerdeiner

Growing up in Rutledge, Pennsylvania, Kimberlee Maslin-Kammerdeiner was a four-sport athlete playing basketball, field hockey, lacrosse, and soccer. Though there was no girls’ soccer team at her high school, she played goalie on the boys’ team for two years. As a very talented athlete, Kimberlee earned NCAA Division I offers for lacrosse, field hockey, and soccer despite not playing during her senior year. As a result, she chose to continue her soccer career at George Mason University where she played, both, field positions and goaltender. In 1985, she led her team to a NCAA Division I championship. Upon graduating, Kimberlee was selected for the US Women’s National Team where she played four seasons as a goaltender, 1988-1991. While playing for the USWNT, Kimberlee went 843 consecutive minutes of playing time without allowing a goal- a record that still stands today. She was a part of the 1991 US Women’s team that won the first ever FIFA Women’s World Cup. Today, Kimberlee is a schoolteacher and soccer coach.
